Every MK character returns but that doesn't make this game any better.
+ Every MK character is back
+ New Konquest mode
+ Create-A-Kharacter is online
Bad:
- Fighting is very stiff
- Kreate-A-Fatality means everyone has same fatality
- Motor Kombat is way too easy and boring
- Without online, you get 1/2 of the value of this game
Even though every Mortal Kombat character is back, they only put two modes where you only fight. Arcade and VS. You have to be kidding me! The new Konquest mode is basically just Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks with regular fights thrown in. Sad thing is that really is the best mode of this game. Plus, I could just play Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks instead of Konquest. Also, the ability to make a character is more detailed than Soul Calibur 3's was. Even though there is more detail, there is even less ways to play as your character. Even though Soul Calibur 3 wasn't online, it had a mode made just for your own character. MK: Armageddon just leaves you to play with your character in arcade and versus. Also, the fighting has aged horribly. The controls are horrible. There is barely any depth. I've seen more depth in flash games. The newly added Motor Kombat doesn't make it better either. I can't believe they took away Chess Kombat and Puzzle Kombat to put this in. The Kreate-A-Fatality is definitely disappointing. I miss everyone's own special fatality. Also, I don't have online so this makes the game playable for only a couple of days.
Overall: If you are a Mortal Kombat freak, go ahead and buy it. If you liked Mortal Kombat: Deception, you should continue playing that instead of this.
