It's a great game, although there a few things that needed to be worked on more.
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon Is the last in the Current Gen Mortal Kombat games, after this one, 'Midway is moving onto the Next-Gen consoles. MKA's gameplay is very unique in all the modes. (Arcade, Konquest, Motor Kombat) In arcade mode it's like the other Current gen MK games, (MK: Deadly Alliance, MK Deception) you fight with different styles and weapons, and their are short but painful combos that are easy to learn. But the bad thing is, everyone only has one fighting style and one weapon! But it is acceptable since their is a ton of kharacters. (60 +) But their aomethings are not that great, such as the new fatality systems, even an ultimate fatality dosen't seem very brutal. They also should've had all past modes of fatalities (Babality, Animality, Brutality, Hara-Kiri etc.) along with the original fatality system.
MKA Konquest feels very, very, very, limited. It feels like there is only one way to go during the whole game, heck, there IS only one way to go during the whole game. Konquest actually is quite fun in terms of "beating that guy or the other guy up with a punch in the face" . But really, all you do is ounch and kick lin kuei and other clans in their faces. And the other thing that happens is that you beat up Kombatants from MK just to get passed some place in arcade mode. They really should have amde it to fight the kombatants within the Konquest original mode, like in MK Shaolin monks.
Motor Kombat is very fun for a mini-game. Their is a few Raceways for you to race on, such as "Lin Kuei Raceway" and "Bo Rai Cho's brewery". Their is also a fair amount of racers to play with, all with their own attack or power. But the thing is, Motor kombat can get boring quite fast.
Sound
The Audio in MKA is superb, with all the great music to the screaming of kombatants when they get crushed, squashed, and slammed into a wall by a huge catapult has been well done! The music fits in well with all the arenas they go with, and their is also alot of greatly done sound effects. Every single bone breaking, and limb ripping sound ultimateley brutal and realistic.
