I understand online play not being on PS2, but XBOX? There is no excuse!

This game is so innovative to the Mortal Kombat franchise, if Ed Boon and the rest of the team at Midway keep this up, then the series is going far. The only real gripe I had about this game was the gameplay mechanic. It was extremely slow and a little on the unresponsive side, yet still fun once you get used to it, I just hope that the next Mortal Kombat won't be along the same lines when it comes to the fighting, and I hope the Konquest mode is a little more interactive next time around. Plus the fact that all the stages, although really awesome, had no stage fatalities, their was a great amount of potential for stage fatalities on arenas like the Kuatan Palace and Quan Chi's Fortress for example. Speaking of fatalities, the series hit a new low in terms of the "Famous Finishers" (Famous Finishers is so mine, I came up with it, and so far nobody has used it to my knowlage, so boo ya!) Only one fatality for everyone. This is Mortal Kombat 5, there should have at leas been stage fatalities to make up for the fact that many of the finishers don't please me in the first place (Quan Chi, Movado, Reptile's especially which is a combination of both his MK4 fatalities)! Oh, and Shang-Tsung doesn't morph anymore. Online play could have been a great asset as well, especially on XBOX. Now that I have gotten that out of the way. The good things about Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance are as follows: Graphics - Absolutely incredible in ever sence and some of the best I've seen in any 3D fighting game. The character models are incredibly detailed, especially with the facial wounds, and the stages are massive and in terms of interactivity are really fun to play in, but, as said above, no stage fatalities. The character selection is great, 26 if you count Blaze and Mokap, otherwise, 24. Bigger than MKGold, which is a good thing, but what happened to Lui Kang, he can come back, I mean c'mon, a secret character or something, just for fun. Thank God Kung Lao is in it, though. The score to this game fits with the game, but forgettable compared to MK1 and 2. The endings are cool, but I want MK4 style FMV's. The thing that really keeps you playing is the new secret unlockable concept called the Krypt, which is too big and tedious. 676 coffins, and most of them are filled with pointless S#!T that has no meaning in a fighting game, but some are really funny for the most part, like the Frost Hair Gel add, and the Bo Rai' Cho 2 Liter Pepto. All in all, you're just a----nother brick in the wall. Seriously, though. All in all, this game is awesome and will please longtime fans of the Mortal Kombat universe, and will find it's way into many young new fighters homes around the world.
