Mortal Kombat Deception continues off where Deadly alliance left off. The warriors of Raiden fell to the tarkata race and Shang Tsung and Quan Chi were victorious, they even managed to take down Raiden. When they defeaf Raiden they sense lust for power in each of their faces. They start fighting, and eventually Quan Chi wins, and revels in his victory, but the true ruler of outworld intervenes, The Dragon King. Quan Chi attacks him but it was of no consequence, Shang Tsung and Raiden combine their powers to stop the Dragon King, but they are still of no match, Raiden then realizes that he must sacrafice himself, he did but it was of no success. The Dragon King lives. It is an interesting story. First off Deception builds upon Deadly alliance, in terms of gameplay and options, the most inprove aspect is the gameplay, which plays nicely and smooth, but sometimes a little stiff. Mortal Kombat Deception uses the same fighting system as Deadly alliance, but with some nice tweaks, such as the breakers. These combo-breakers really come in handy when someone is using a style-branched combo and tkaes down alot of energy, these are life savers, and the breaker is the reason why deception tops deadly alliance. In Deadly alliance there was a wall that bloked you from being tossed off the arena into a gruesome death, that is now possible in Mortal Kombat Deception. The stage fatalities haven't been seen since Mortal Kombat 4, and their almost as the fatalities in the game. Speaking of fatalities. Deception features two, in Deadly alliance you only had one per character. The fatalities in Deception are probably the best yet in any Mortal Kombat. Their barbaric, gruesome, and sadistic. Which is an applause for any Mortal Kombat. The graphics in Deception are great but sometimes, the animations are a little wacky, and the characters still look like action figures. The voices in Mortal Kombat are a little corny and each character does not have an individual voice, which is kinda of a bummer. The sound effects are overall great. In Deception, their are mini-games such as puzzle Kombat and Chess Kombat. Puzzle Kombat is a complete rip-off of the Super puzzle fighting also known as Street Fighter. Chess Kombat is boring and it is not the Chess that people play in this day and age, it's the witch-craft based Chess game. It felt a little rush. Mortal Kombat features an adventure mode, called Konquest mode. It features the main Character Shujinko who starts out as a young boy and grows up and is trained by martial artists. It's a good mode, but it gets tedious after an hour, but it's the only way to unlock all the characters. Getting back to the main fighting of the game, Deception features ON-LINE. Which is outstanding, no lag, no annoying people, well maybe a little. It is amazing. Overall Deception is an amazing game with a wonderful on-line play, it's definitely a buy to any Mortal Kombat fan.
