First 3D Fighter I've playing in a LONG TIME

User Rating: 8.6 | Mortal Kombat: Deception PS2
When the thought of 3D Fighters enters my mind, I cringe. Maybe it’s because I’m “old school”. Nah. I just LOVE my 2D fighters more so than 3D fighters. I’ve had bad experiences with 3D fighters….side stepping just was NOT, cool. But one night, my brother and I rented it because we haven’t played a new Mortal Kombat game in some time. We get home, toss it in the old PS2, and start playing. Wow! I’ve been missing out! The game play was REALLY fun! For the first hour or so, we laughed and laughed. Seeing the different angles when you slam someone over a rooftop, or slamming them through a wall or glass. Fun. But once all this wears off, there the combo system. Something I’m not to fond of. But, once you want to get good at a game, you have to do this. Also, the online feature is nice. However, as a noob to the game, all of the online users (which I found to vary from 26-40) slaughter me. This game has made me look forward to trying even “tighter” 3D fighters….such as Tekken 5.
