Mortal Kombat Deception is a sad attempt at a game. The gameplay is a slight improvement from deadly alliance in which when you threw a punch the character's hand stayed extended untl you retracted it. Though it is a slight improvement the game is still horrible. The Konquest mode was really repeditive. The fighting system was ridiculously hard to control and combos could not easily be strung together. The graphics were not very impressive considering when the game was released. The martial arts presented in the game were far from accurate. The only techniques that came close weren't even techniques...they were the stances.
The fights are usually slow paced punches and kicks followed by absurdly powerful weapon strikes. Countering is really hard to pull off. All in all I would not recommend Mortal Kombat: Deception or Deadly Alliance to anyone, not even the hardcore Mortal Kombat fans.
