Now THIS is where MK was in it's all time high.
Graphics: 9/10 - Great graphics, definitely improved in character design and fatality system, because usually in every fatality for MKDA, you'd either blow up, or lose a limb with blood shooting out of the socket to simply cover up the fact that there was no bloody limb attached. In MKD, you see the limb with the bone sticking out, you see more detail in characters, even in up close, arenas, and such, and it all simply shines on you.
Sound: 9/10 - Another improvement. Music is far better prepared then in MKDA, with many more arenas with original music, bonus tracks such as Dragon Slayer, and great ambient music for Konquest. And the voice acting job is far better then that of MKDA or MKA. Anger seen in Scorpion's voice, deep sounding voice for Kabal, Liu Kang's loveable rooster voice, and the women no longer sound like retarded people trying to play sports as they did in DA. But still, seeing every character have their own voice would've helped in the originality field.
Controls: 8.5/10 - Hahaha, so they finally fixed the problem with infinite combos, glitchy attacks, and hard to perform set combos. Controls for special moves are also enhanced, and breakers are the simplest abilities to activate, but there are still times where the controls are frustrating, such as when trying to perform a fatality, or trying to do a long special move like Ermac's telekinetic slam and such.
Storyline: 10/10 - A perfect storyline, pure and simple. The Konquest will last you a very long time, but in a good way, because even after you beat Konquest, there are tons of side missions to perform, and bonus features unlocked after beating Konquest.
Unlockables: 10/10 - and unlockables are where they are supposed to be. You can unlock 12 characters, doubling your original amount, and this time, there's a bit of a challenge in Konquest and unlockables, in that you can finally get an equal, if not, more arenas and characters with original deathtraps, original moves, and most of the time, original voices.
Overall: 9.1/10 - Best in entire series, and must be bought for the PS2 or X-box version. If you want the GC version, okay, but it's notably different in somewhat of a negative way, so stick with these two just to be safe.
