Widely acclaimed as being the best the series had to offer til this very day, Mortal Kombat 2 is more violent, daring, funny, graphicaly better than the first. Reptile finally becomes a playable character, 2 fatalities per character, frieindships used too mock the critics for disliking Mortal Kombats violent conclusions and more.

Goro is replaced by the even more aggressive and violent half human half dragon Kintaro. Shao Kahn, master of Outworld is the main protagonist. 12 playable characters including Jax, Kitana, Mileena, Baraka, Kung Lao, and a younger Shang Tsung. New pit stages like the Dead Pool with its acid bath, The Pit 2, and the Tomb with its spiked cieling.

Also new secret unplayable characters, Noob Saibot, Smoke and Jade. Faster gameplay and more blood than the last Mortal Kombat and you got yourself a hell of a fighting game. This is when arcades were at their best and you'd be lucky to even get to play this game, but can still just be as entertained by simply watching the action.

After Goro and Shang Tsung's defeat by Lui Kang the new Mortal Kombat CHAMPION, Shang Tsung returns to his master Shao Kahn in Outworld. As Shao Kahn was about to kill Shang for his failure, Shang manages to convince Kahn to lure the earth warriors to Outworld and have them participate in his own tournament.

Shao Kahn likes the idea and restores Shang to his former youth. Raiden warns the earth warriors of the dangers they'll face in Outworld and joins them to defend earth once again.

The best in the series and worthy of any MK fan.
