The best MK game in the series! It takes what was so great with MK1 had and improves it significantly.
Graphics - A hell of a lot better quality of sprites than the first MK title. Everything looks more realistic and crisp. The blood was improved, the special move effects were improved, the fatalities look so much deadlier, and the sprites reflect real martial arts more so than before.
Sound - The music, the screams of pain, all very clear and realistic! I love the ambiance created by the "evil sounding" music.
Game play - a lot smoother and responsive and it flows nicely.
Fatalities - two per character, and more brutal than ever! You also get joke finishers like friendships and fatalities which were used to poke fun at the negative attention MK got from the media due to its violence
I've tried my best not to ramble on how much this game kicks ass. Just play it! It's been more than 10 years since the game has been released and I still play it despite it being a dinosaur.
