Simply Outstanding, one of the best fighter adventure games to date...

This game is worse than smoking from an addictiveness point of view. A buddy and I were playing Ko-Op without realizing how fast time went because we just didn't put the controllers down! It uses a fatality of its own on its predecessors, ei: Mortal Kombat: Deception, Deadly Alliance etc. These games just didn't have what it took, this game has it all: Gameplay, Graphics, Blood Exploding Sound and above all a value of its own stature. 1) Gameplay: Ok, i think i summed this up in the first praising paragraph of my review, but i think i'll elaborate a little. The games new Kombat System is completely off the hook! The new combination counter is a blast and every single enemy is just as hard/easy as it should be. Trust me, once you get to fight Scorpion, you will know what I'm saying, he's a blast to murder. "Get over here!" 2) Graphics: Fine, i'll admit the graphics arn't superb, but worth a congrats nonetheless. I personally don't really care about graphical eye candy, but the opening movie was the absolute rock hard beat down ass kicking eye candy I have ever seen in a video game! Other than that, in-play graphics are acceptable, and the other cinemas play a certain worth seeing role as well. 3) Sound: Now the sound in this game isn't without its charm, I love hearing a big bloody SPLAT! when i throw in the final blow to my opponent, or hear a gory blood oozing fatality/mutality. Even when beating the monster down you can really hear the crap falling out of him as you crack him a good one with Kung Lao's blade-edged hat or give him a good Bruce Lee style kick by Liu Kang. 4) Value: As said before, this game isn't without it's charm, and it has a value of its own stature, that's to say that Mortal Kombat is a value all on it's own. Definitely worth playing, Definitely worth buying. I rented this game, played it for three of my five days, took it back, went to Future Shop and bought it. A must have.
