How the hell did Mortal Kombat pass as a Game Boy game?
The bad: Slow tedious game-play, since the Game boy is monochrome, blood can't be seen, bad fatalities.

How the hell did Mortal Kombat pass as a Game Boy game? Who in the right mind thought Mortal Kombat would be just as fun as it was in the arcades? The Snes version sucked due to a lack of blood, but playing MK on a white screen just sucks. There's no blood, and the game plays sloooooooooooow!
I can sit here and tell you what the game is about, but since this sucks so much, I'm just going to complain about it. Some characters are missing, the fatalities are lame, and combat is just boring. Sure it's playable, but have you seen punches take 4 SECONDS?! THAT'S CRAZY!! The worst part is that the game's fatalities make no sense. Turning into a bat can kill some one? That sucks!
Note, this review is short, because you already know about Mortal Kombat. I don't blame Acclaim as much as I blame Nintendo. The controls are good, but not as tight as other ports. The graphics are excellent, though. The music is passable, but forgettable quickly. The audio's okay, but not even up to the standard Game Boy quality.
Mortal Kombat on the Game Boy is garbage. If you've played this but not the other 2 MK games on the Game Boy, you don't need to. It's basically the same damn game! This makes the Snes version seem like a classic to me.
