Of all the automobile and motorcycle racing games I've played over the years, MotoGP 2 is without a doubt my favorite. The attention to detail and level of realism are unsurpassed in a moto racing game. The graphics are superb, including the bikes themselves, the tracks and even the riders. Nice little details abound, such as rain drops on your visor, and skid marks on the pavement. The sound adds to the experience perfectly. The bikes produce a visceral, throaty rumble at low RPMs, and an equally satisfying high-pitched whine at full throttle. The soundtrack is more than adequate, but you can also play your own songs. The controls are customizable and the vibration feedback is spot on. Everything is just right, including the difficulty level, which is adjustable. MotoGP 2 is so good that, in my opinion, even later installments in the MotoGP series don't improve on the formula.
