----------------------------------------------------------------------

"Motorstorm: Arctic Edge" gives you the feel of its older brother's version on the PS3.

This game sucks in a lot of your time, with up over 20 great vehicles, and over 10 twisted tracks. The career mode of this game, I have to say, is surprisingly good. I say this because most of the racers I've played with my experience with the PSP, are rather dull.

For some reason, I feel as if I actually want to play the career mode, unlock some great vehicles and tracks I can play over at the wreckreation mode. Which brings me to my next point.

The "wreckreation" mode is where you can freely use the vehicles and tracks you've unlocked, or already owned before. There are 3 modes you can play in the wreckreation mode, there is "Time Attack" which i'm sure you guys know what that is, "Free-Play", this mode is where you take your vehicles for a spin and test them out on any track, basically a race. Now there is "Online".

I haven't got the chance to play online, but from videos and seeing other people play. I can tell you, it looks fun. I can only imagine how it's like to compare player stats with friends, share the medals you have earned, and just...battle!

"Festival" is the career/campaign mode in this game. Based on your profile, you have a rank. You start off as rank 1, of course. But the more races you play on rank 1, you will eventually level up to rank 2, of course unlocking medals, achievements, vehicles, etc.

The higher your level goes, the harder some races can get. I haven't got the chance to see how many ranks there are, because there we're too many levels to go through! I think each rank has about 5-10 races each. (Maybe lower)

The graphics in this game is very good, but not the best. I can tell you, that it actually gives you that feel as if it was Motorstorm on the PS3.

Presentation itself is great, too. The framerate is almost flawless. Even seeing the vehicles crash all over the place, even in front of your own vehicle, it still manages to stay the same for framerate.

The sound in this game is very similar to the one on the PS3. I'm not sure if there is a soundtrack you can buy, but I really like the songs in this. I'm almost positive I heard Muse playing one time.

Controls feel spot on. Again, very similar to the PS3's style. What I am liking about this game is that it's not simulation, of course. So you can drive very freely in this game, which makes the controls so good.

What else is there to say? This game is great, fun, and will leave you on the edge for a long time.

-----------------------------------------------------

The Good:

- Fun, thrilling career mode
- "Wreckreation" mode is great
- Graphics look almost PS2-like
- Controls are crisp, spot on
- Presentation is very hood, almost no lagging have I experienced

The Bad:

- While driving, I feel as if its a bit too easy crashing. Which is not a good thing
- Not alot of vehicles, tracks, to choose from

Rating: 8.5/10
