This game beat the stuffing out of pacman for the atari 2600.

User Rating: 8.5 | Ms. Pac-Man 2600
To say that Pacman on the Atari 2600 was a universal flop is an understetement. So it was only with extreme caution, and having seen the game in action that I purchased Ms. Pacman.

For the time and date that it came out, Ms. Pacman was really good on the Atari 2600. Previous problems from Pacman had mostly been fixed. The sound was not that annoying bonk bonk, she actually turned to face the direciton to pointed her in, there were multiple maps (yes I know pacman only has one map but that is why I prefer ms. pacman) and the graphics were a huge improvement. Her mouth would keep moving when she was sitting still but I could handle that.

Aside from the modes where you could play with fewer ghosts and 2 players, there was not much more the game had. It was quite simply a very good port to the 2600 that was probably too late to repair the damage done by PacMan.
