At first glance this game is nothing more than a graphic adventure aimed at the casual audience, with little challenge, limited gameplay mechanics, and little to no actual detective work.
At its core "Murdered..." is nothing more than a hidden objects game with deluxe production values.
The story itself is nothing special and rather cliché-friendly.
Yet the game more than makes up for this with its spooky, mysterious New England atmosphere.
The classic, classy ghost story atmosphere is simply mesmerizing - think of this game as the old school, old fashioned version of the edgier, more modern "Silent Hill" (both in style and gameplay).
A very compelling game if you have an affinity for old-fashioned spooky tales and ghost stories.
