I got this game when it came out and just finished. It took a while for me to finish it but that was my own doing. At first I thought it was boring, but then I realized that the story was engrossing and that the environment was, how should I say this, relaxing.
M:SS has a very week game play set up, hardly any at all. The number one thing you do is walk around. But, once I realized that and thought of it as an interactive novel with a few things to do, I enjoyed it. And, I used this game in-between other games or to clear my head and relax. I don't know if the developers would take that as a compliment or not. :-) In any case, I wanted to finish the story/game - and that's definitely a compliment.
The atmosphere is moody and it's fun to be able to walk through walls, which is something to remember when you do encounter enemies. Nothing special about the graphics but the art direction of melding the "old" town with the "new" town is commendable.
I'm sorry to hear that the developer, Airtight Games, closed shortly after the release of this game. I want to support independent developers and this is a good game.
