Enjoyable Motocross action, massive singleplayer improvement from previous version, lacking in depth and longevity.

User Rating: 6.5 | MX vs. ATV Alive PS3
The singleplayer motocross racing experience has been improved in every way, most notably in the other riders not landing on you/knocking you off course/attempting to occupy same space in time as you CONSTANTLY, as in Reflex. This does happen occasionally, but its infrequent enough to not be too annoying.

Would benefit hugely from a comprehensive photo and replay feature, including image and video export facility.

Overall presentation has an unfortunate air of moron about it- text, information, tips etc have been written for someone who isn't a motocross or atv enthusiast. This can't be a negative in a scoring sense, as its likely that this was intended. However, I'd say that they've over-simplified things. A Shift 2-style mature-and-technical-yet-still-accessible approach would make a big difference.

Despite huge improvements and enjoyable racing, Alive lacks longevity and depth.
