This is a nice way to learn something new without a lot of effort. If you didn't take a second language in school or have been wanting to at least know a few sentences, this may help. This will not help you to be extremely fluent in French but enough to understand basic French (numbers, days, basic sentence structure etc.). The games are fun and include word search, multiple choice, and "hit the groundhog" game (more like a Flash Card game). I like that you can hear the words and can pronounce the word into your microphone to check for accuracy with the instructor. The game is broken down into Lessons which aren't too detail but enough to get you started and then the Game section -- you can choose easy or hard difficulty settings. When you have went a few rounds with the games you will then get a Mastery level which will advance you to more unlocked lessons. All around a great series, but still room for improvement... more game variety for instance. I will definitely pick up more in this series.
