A HUGE improvement over the first MySims. This game is very fun, and different from the first game.

User Rating: 8.5 | MySims Kingdom WII
There are two types of people who played MySims: those who thought it was boring and repetative (really repetative), and those who liked the idea up until ALMOST the end, then got bored. Even if MySims disappointed you, don't be too quick to turn its sequel down. The gameplay of MySims: Kingdom is totally different from MySims.

Okay, let's start with the good:
Great storyline. Every character is cute and funny, and the little stories are amusing. There are plenty of moments where you can't help but laugh.
Many locations. While the first MySims only had a town, the forest, and the desert, this game has many locations, like an enchanted forest, a Western ranch, and a concert area.
Gameplay has been improved. Remember how in the first MySims, you would run back and forth between your workshop and a customer's house? Well, in this game, you can build pretty much anywhere, and instead of building furniture, you're building vehicles and houses and decorating them with furniture.
More variety. Instead of building furniture OVER and OVER, you are building rocket ships, castles, stereo systems, restaurants, ancient temples, and anything you can think of. And it's not just building, either. You also get some role-playing elements, and you can find secret scrolls and help out people.
Really cool rewards. Hard work earns you special items, and the reward when you beat the game is THE BEST. I won't spoil it for you, but it's way better than MySims' crummy "Town Statue Blueprint" reward.
Better loading times and screens. In MySims, every time you entered or left a building, a boring loading screen would appear for a LONG time. Now, you get a cute little cutscene that isn't HOURS LONG.
Building isn't a chore. It's fun and enjoyable.

The bad:
Some of the story's do get a little baby-ish at times. "Being an adventurer is about making friends!" "My froggy friends! Yay!" "Let's play!" and so on. You get the point. However, these instances are uncommon, and this game is still enjoyable for teenagers and adults.
Music can get just a tiny bit annoying at times.
AUGH, the Simalese is SO ANNOYING at times! After hearing Buddy exclaim, "Ee-boo-nah" a million times, you will scream and mute your TV!
Collecting essences is still a drag.

In conclusion, this is still a major improvement on MySims, and if you bought the first game and kind of liked it, you will like this game.
