Pretty great "search-for-hidden-objects" game with your partner or your kid.

Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects is actually aimed for kids I think. It's basically a search-for-hidden-objects in the National Museum or local Barbershop to act as clues in order to find the mysterious culprit. Whatever.

BUT, I shall say that it's a pretty challenging and entertaining game for me as a first-time player of this genre. The items are everyday objects from spoons to seashells to freakin' airplanes, and they're very cleverly hidden, which makes the searching part of the game very addictive. Though the items get repetitive after a while, the random factor prevents it from being boring at the least.

Then there's some mini games which kind of wrap up every mission to find the suspect ranging from move-the-squares-puzzles to crossword puzzles. Very kiddy, but at least it provides a break from the main gameplay. Finally, one very challenging yet particularly annoying feature is that some locations require you to view only a small area of the picture via a flashlight or x-ray detector blah blah depending on where you place your mouse cursor. Very time consuming but reaps a little better satisfaction knowing you can still beat it in time.

The music repeats every mission but it's no big deal since it adds to the Cluedo sort of mood. So, I recommend playing this with your family and I double recommend a big monitor screen.
