One more excellent Total War, better than the original.Very reallistic battles. The best follower of Napoleon's history.
In Campaign map:
1)The theatre of war is only Europe (without North Africa neither Anatolia).
2)New building available that generally helps the new replacement type.
3)New replacement type of units that suffer losses. Now you don't have to pay for restoring your army only wait in your own territories.
4)Diplomacy is easier which for me is better because in ETW you had to sell your soul for a trade agreement.
5)Lacks on choices of nations. You can play only as France, Austria, Russia, Prussia and Great Britain.
6)Alliances are limited because from the beginning of your campaign the Europe is separated in two sides.
In Land Battles:
1)Units have more differences from each other and their behavior is more realistic (Sometimes they make their won comments about the battle).
2)More different types of units and more differences from one nation to another.
3)Graphics are the same but the high number of troops (in my computer at least) don't affect the game.
4)Better use of artillery which in ETW did little damage.
5)New morale system which makes battles more realistic and better to control.
Naval battles are quite the same.
Generally it's a "money-well-spent" game that takes you in the reality of that epoch better than any other game.Enjoy!
