Doesn't quite live up to what it could have been, and its a major flashback of its prequel, but it has its good moments.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 is a short game with a decent amount of replay value. However, it repeats battle scenes, and some of the simplistic and cheap enemy A.I. will have you throwing your controller at the TV. Fans of the anime will like it, but its not hard to notice how much better it could have been. The constant repeating sound gets annoying after the first few battles. Although it contains many new characters compared to CON, that doesn't do much to make it better. The story mode is short, but contains a lot of canon stuff from the anime. You'll like this game until you find out what unlocking certain aspects of the game costs, and realize that if you don't plan on playing this for months on end, you'll probably never have everything in the game. Some of the multi-player modes give it a little more entertainment factor.

Simple (but a little bland) combos will keep you entertained and there are those 'huge comeback' moments where one dodge or counter will turn the tide of battle. The 4 player mode is very fun but very sloppy, and you can tell the arenas weren't designed to hold four people at once. I felt like I had to give this game a chance, so I spent a long time earning as much as I could to purchase everything. I concluded that the final characters you get are somewhat worth the hours and hours of gameplay you shoot out, and the extra game modes somewhat make up for the rest of the short and simplistic game. So if you've been dying to knock Sasuke down a peg or two, or heroically defeat the villains from the game, that is basically all this game will bring, give or take a few special moves and fighting modes.
