Naruto: Clash of Ninja is Tomy's first step into the gaming world. However it is literally...a doozey.

User Rating: 6.8 | Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen GC
I rented the game thinking Tomy might go the way of the Bandai. I hate to admit it, but they kind of did in a way. Instead of making a Naruto adventure game, they just had to make a fighting compilation of the series.

Gameplay: 6/10
Now the only thing after stripping this game down to the core minimum is the fighting controls. It is good that each character has his/her own unique set of moves, and it is also good that they each have their own specials, however there is a lack of depth in this game and it could have been a promising game. Once you beat certain modes of the game, you will be repeating over and over again for unlockables that range from rewarding to not so rewarding.

Graphics: 7/10
The game give the anime cartooned style of gaming that we all know and crave, but the attention to level detail was just so...benign. The characters are fine and all, but the levels they fight in look like they were either rushed, half done, or not even considered putting effort in. This cannot be said for all the maps, but most of these maps have them.

Sound: 8/10
This is presumed to be the only best thing about this game. It has all the original voice actors in the game and they voice their talents in this game with their fighting spirit. The only problem that I can find is it becomes a bit bland after hearing it 20+ times.

Value 6.8/10
This game is strongly for the anime/Naruto fans. Being a Naruto fan myself, I just rented this game. Buying is all up to you.
