A pretty addictive game that will keep you busy for a while.

What can I say, this game is definately a lot of fun, especially with the multiplayer. I personally am hooked on the online, but online may not be for everybody. I'll get to that in a moment. First, I'll break it down:

Story: 6/10

The game's story mode is actually pretty good and unlike previous installments, uses the game's graphics to tell alot of the story, rather than using static images. It covers the first arc of the anime and does a pretty good job with it. Unfortunately, the story mode is a bit on the short side and can be completed in about an hour or so, depending on how well you can do in the final fight, which is quite challenging.

Graphics: 8/10

Nice graphics and pretty good character animations. While there are no breathtaking moments graphically, it still looks nice.

Sound: 8/10

Sound effects are faithful to the series and sound good for the most part (ie: Chidori and Rasengan sounds) and everything sound all right. Again, nothing too amazing here, just about what you'd expect. The voice acting is pretty good too.

Music: 5/10

It just falls sort of flat when it comes to the music. Aside from 2 or 3 tunes, there aren't too many catchy tracks in the game. Nothing really too memorable. At least the music isn't annoying, so it's not all bad.

Gameplay: 8/10

Of course, good controls are crucial in any game but especially so in a fighting game. The controls are pretty easy to handle and get a hold of but will require quite a bit of practice to get really comfortable with. Players who use the WiiMote can do a bit of extra damage, which I think is a bit unfair to those using a Gamecube controller (such as myself since I find it more comfortable), but it's not really a big deal.

Multiplayer and Online: 8/10

The multiplayer is probably this game's strongest asset. You can spend hours challenging your friends and with 40 or so characters in the game, there's plenty of variety to keep you playing.

The online is decent for the most part. The lag isn't too bad and the majority of players fight fairly. The biggest complaint I have are the disconnectors. There is no penalty in the game for disconnecting so there is nothing to discourage it. Disconnecting doesn't happen as often as you might think though.

Overall, a pretty solid fighter and easily the best in the Clash of Ninja series.
