This is a well-done entry in the series

User Rating: 8 | Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 PS4

I've played through the Ultimate Ninja Storm games so I knew what to expect. I've always been into Naruto from the manga to the animation and pretty soon, the Ultimate Ninja Storm video games. Storm 2 followed the Shippuden storyline from the beginning when Naruto returns to the Hidden Leaf Vilage all the way until the Pain arc when the village is destroyed. Storm 3 follows from when Naruto is called the village hero all the way until the fight with the masked man. Storm 4 has some backstory from the first feud with Hashirama Senju, First Hokage and Madara Uchiha but it later goes into a Ninja War and some very insane battles. Unlike the past Ninja Storm games, mainly 2 and 3 (and Full Burst), the story and the adventure are 2 different things whereas in 2 and 3 they were one in the same. The whole game from beginning to end is amazing and the game looks great. Granted, it looks no different from the past Storm games, but it's still cel shaded and looks like it should because it's a game based on a Japanese animation. I like the new gameplay mechanics used in this game such as switching between characters because you could not do that in the past Storm games. There's also Team Ultimate Jutsu, and if you choose characters who are friends or even know each other, they will have special finishers and I think that's pretty cool. The character roster is huge and there's so many characters to choose from. The Naruto characters when they were kids, the Hokages, Killer Bee, the Jinchurikis, Kushina Uzumaki (mother of Naruto), the Akatsuki, it's quite the roster this time around. People who preordered the game got early access to other characters from The Last: Naruto The Movie, such as The Last Naruto, Sasuke, even a The Last character skin of Hinata and Kakashi Hatake as the Sixth Hokage. even 2 brand new characters from the Naruto movie spinoff called Boruto: Naruto The Movie. Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha. The game battles, especially in the story are insane and the cinematic moments are still as great as they were in the other Storm games. The final battle is by far the best in the Storm series in my honest opinion. I don't think the final battle with Pain in Storm 2 or the battle with the masked man in Storm 3 can even come close to it. In the end, this is a game based on a manga and a Japanese animation and I think it would appeal more to people who follow Naruto, which I'm sure in this day and time, everyone knows Naruto, especially because it's been localized back in 2005 and has been watched and read by thousands if not millions of people worldwide.
