A very fun, though sometimes frustrating, journey in the Naruto World.
Storm covers the story of Naruto from beginning to end (End of the Old Series anyway), and is full of fun fights, and usually fun mini games for hours of enjoyment. The Naruto Universe is magnified by the PS3's graphic engine, and gives you and large and beautiful sight of the land. This is a good thing, because unlike Ultimate Ninja games before it, you MUST play through the story mode with the Ultimate Ninja World. This means (If you never played a Nartuo game), instead of playing the story mode seperately, you must go through the chapters of the story, while venturing in the well...adventure part of the game. This makes most of the Story mode battles rather dull, and while most of the characters taunts are adjusted at the beginning of each battle to fit the plot, there really isn't much to offer. That is, until you reach the end of the story modes, of which all but one of them, have a "Giant Battle". Giant Battles are a combination of gameplay, with spectacular video sequences blended in. While fightning your Giant opponent, on certain occasions and at the near end of the battle, you will enter sequences in which you must press a sequence of buttons to successfully dodge damage/deal damage, and avoid taking a hit. These battles are the peaks of the Story Mode, and are as visually enriching as they are fun.
Apart from the Graphics and Story, the combat in Storm sticks to it's Philosophy: The Simplier, the better. Though not challenging, the combos and chakra techniques you use are very satisfying. Blocking hits and combos is as simple as pushing R2, but after some time, Blocks can be broken, leaving you in a dizzy state. The game also features "Awakening", which is a Storm original. Awakening, is a state of greater strength, speed, etc., and for some Characters, temporarly transforms you into an ascended form (Naruto = Demon Fox, Sasuke = Cursed Mark 2, etc.). Awakening is can only be acheived when the Storm Gauge is available. This occurs when any of the many situations occurs ie. Low Health, Quickly receivings a certain amount of damage, etc. This games fightning is incredibly fun, and though the Character selection is limited compared to other UN games, it still offers enough choices to at least partially quench a fans thirst.
All in all, Storm is great game. If your a fan, it's a must have, and if your not, you may still want to look into it.
