Surprsinly realistic. Nascar fans should check this out.
The Good:
-Despite it's realism, the game is easy to learn.
-Framerate is incredibly smooth and graphics are relatively well done.
-Skid effects sound great.
-The physics themselves are better than Nascar Thunder. If you bump a guy he'll spin out pretty easily, and the game just generally does a better job at simulating the sport than Nascar Thunder.
-Split screen and system link are available for multiplayer.
The Bad:
-Lack of licensed cars and track.
-I have found that restrictor plate racing is impossible. No matter what I do, I can't keep up with the pack. And yet, on all other tracks it's piece of cake.
-As good as the physics are, there's still work to do. Smoke flies frequently over small, harmless contact, causing the player to anticipate a wreck. The A.I. also needs a ton of work, as they drive 4 wide at places like Bristol.
-No Xbox Live support for mutliplayer.
-Many of the options of single player are not available in multiplayer: only 23 cars, and no yellow flags.
...I don't know, I don't have much to say about this game. Nascar fans will find a lot to like about it, but other than that there's nothing incredibly amazing to be found.
