When i gave this a 1.6, i wasn't doing this for spite...this is acutally once of the WORST games available for download!

User Rating: 1.6 | Navy Field PC
Ok, navy field, it sounds like a good idea eh? It was, and i'll admit it. But when you take 18 year old unexperienced programmers, you get navy field.

Gameplay: 1.7 (rounded to 2)

Repetitive. You have about 5 choices : Training, box capturing, Great Battle (ooh!), Blitzgreg, and just the flat out fights (which holds about 128 players max and lags really bad with over 35 people in a game) It takes hundreds of hours of your life to get from a cruiser to a heavy cruiser, and thousands to get to a carrier/battleship. You either do one of two things, wait to get bombed, or sit back lazily and wait for the battle to end, giving you all the credits your team accumulated from Tactical Points. Stupid thing is, there is tactical victory, instead of a last team standing type of thing, you rack up millions of points to make yourself happy and give yourself credits. The game is spoiled entirely by bugs which crash the game, prevent enjoyability, and probably ruin your computer, and cause you enough frustration to go and kill the person nearest to you. Players who are hosts, whom are ignorant of everyone and use feeble threats to get people to balance the game. "Get on team Bravo or i'll ban you from a server you with my powers because you are a n00b!!!!!" Heh, i find this funny when i got called this because i would have an Oakland-class, and they would have a Q-Class British destroyer. They gave way too much power to the host. There are games only secluded for a certain type of ship, such as BB/CL/CA rooms, which is total bull because no one else can get in on the action, when they really can get some action dished out. There a lot of people we call TW's or torpedo whores because they abuse the Japanese Kitakami (most infamous) and use their 5-torp-tubes-per-side to sink nearly every ship for half of the map. Nothing is done about this because for the most part the moderators are ignorant of what happens. They don't care, and everyone tries to suck up to them to get mod powers or free credits. They all are the same, and have the maturity of a 12 year old pre-pubescent boy. (this was based on a game before it was 7.99 a month, which was too much, they should've kept it free, this was a terrible game, it was on a good premise, not in the right hands, 2 servers, which are connected by 2,000 56k connection plugs, and people who just plain don't care about even playing, they go into rooms and advertise "Kita for sale! only 1.5 mil credits!") Another bad factor was trade, it was AWFUL. To prevent you from cheating, they make min creds and points to trade 50k each. This means if you bought a new ship, you have little credits, and points, you'll be spending another 29 hours on trying to get 50 credits, especially if you are a lower class ship such as a Fletcher. Gameplay is terrible, i hated it.

Graphics: 1

HORRIBLE! This game is suited well to the year 1999, not 2005. This game is a greviance with graphics on anyone's computer, yet i played it. I feel terrible. The title screen every time i start it up was FUBAR'd. Now, you get into the newbie section with your ship section, and you think, "Wow, this looks like a pretty good game!". You're in a for big suprise! Once you get into the crappy-looking combat with the 2d graphics and zoom in feature, which unleashes an abyss of pixels, you'll want to smash your monitor with the keyboard because it will sting your eyes.

Sounds: 4

Oh no! Can it be!? A redeeming feature to this already abyssmal game? Yes, it is! and it comes in, with a 4! Sounds are very repetitive. Different torpedoes make the same sounds, no matter how much explosive you pack into it. All ships make the same sound, a battleship will sound exactly like a frigate blowing up. An annoying accented woman will say "DAMAGED!" or "We are sinking!" thanks honey, a little too late. The planes all sound the same, giving you no sense or feel of speed at all.

Value: .7 (rounded to 1)

Here we enter the realm of the dead. Who would pay the 7.99 fee? No one would, so i think they had to change it to Premium ships because the game (and everyone knew) was a disaster.

Tilt: 1

I am being honest when i tried to not to put spite into this. I hated this game so badly. I never really liked it. There seemed to be a lot of people, so i caught on. Yes Spork or one of you other guys, if you are reading this, please, do me a favor and get me banned, i don't care about Navy FIELD anymore. Save your money.

Get a decent game like Battlestations: Midway which comes out in April and in my opinion will have, GREAT graphics, GOOD SOLID DIFFERING SOUNDS, AWESOME GAMEPLAY, AND PROBABLY OUTSTANDING VALUE!
