I am NOT a huge basketball fan anymore. I used to watch Michael Jordan's era with awe and never suspect that basketball would become what it is today. I guess the lure of the NBA series on the PSP is that it contains so much other stuff that you almost forget about the sorry ass basketball sim included. This year is rather different. The basketball sim is pretty good and there is a full fledged franchise mode to keep you busy. Rosters are downloadable online and there is little lag playing online. Graphics are not the best still, but it is still a good arcade style b-ball game. There true meat of this title as usual is the mini-games. There are so many and they are ALL good. In the past they kind of sucked, but this year they all have been tweaked to almost perfection. The Quest games would make great solo releases each, so having two is a bundle! Considering NBA Live has not decided to make any good portable basketball sims in three or four years, this is the game to get because of the deep offerings.
