I have both live and 2k10 this year. EA has been really pushing live and saying live is back. Live is improved sure, but nba 2k10 is an amazing game. A 10 year old engine still takes Live to school and this is no 2k9 rehash like some people will have you believe. The AI is much improved. The little things is where its at. Improved defensive rotations, playcalling, steal and block animations, collision detection and everything in between. It just plays great. The control is made much easier and is much smoother than past versions. The new lockon d mechanic and turbo/fatigue bar is great and incorporated very well. Is it perfect? no it's not. There is some slow down out of the box as well as some defensive AI/switching issues out of the box. Lead pass and some of the cpu's god like playmaking is still exisiting although it's been toned down. FG percentages also tend to be a tad high. Hopefully a patch and sliders will fix a lot of this. Where live excels is in some of its stadium noises and flash. Lives AI is also much improved. but it's block mechanics and animation, and passing system cant compare. This game has substance and a soul and is still a sim ballers paradise.
