I don't know what game Gamespot played, but it must not have been 2k11. The Jordan challenges are very fun to play, and some are quite challenging. If you're a true NBA fan, then you will love this game. The amount of refinement is absurd and some of the nuances of the game really add to it. For example on rare occasions Kobe will land unbalanced after a dunk and go into his airplane motion where he runs with his arms spread out. Or a stadium will slowly fill up throughout the first quarter. It's not only these things either, but the gameplay and controls are fantastic. Everything is very precise with the exception of passing with the stick which can be somewhat frustrating. The GM's are much smarter in the Association mode, and you won't be able to dominate the league by year three like in previous renditions. It's a very balanced game. Overall it's the best basketball game I have ever played next to NBA Street Vol 2.
