Can't manage rosters. Can't manage substitutions. Training Camp you can't save your progress. Who tested this game???
I don't have as much time to build up players like days of old. I just want to create a player and give him 99's in every ability and then put him on the Lakers. Then I want to change the settings to rookie and turn off the fouls so I can maul whoever gets the inbound pass and beat the computer on the easiest mode 400-10.
Load time. My good lord it seems like everything takes FOREVER to load. I just want to do some of the drills to increase my skill points. Takes a good 2 minutes just loading. Put down the controller, feed the dog and visit the john.
Roster management. Chris Paul isn't on the Hornets any more. I would like to put him on the Clippers. Lamar Odom is no longer a Laker. What ever happened to letting us manage rosters so they reflect reality in the NBA?
Legends. Part of the reason I got this game was to use Magic Johnson and put him up against the newer players. But in Legends, you only get to play one game against the Trailblazers of all teams!??!?!??!!??!??!? Vlade Divac instead of Kareem??!?!?! Are you kidding me? Lakers - Celtics. Magic - Bird. What the ?
Substitutions. So, partly my fault for making a shooting guard to come to the Lakers, but in my 2nd season, my sucky player gets the majority of the playing time and Kobe Bryant comes off the bench to put in just a few minutes a game? Why don't you let the user manage the lineups. There is no effing way I would ever put Luke Walton in the game. Come on man. You're killing me.
Training Camp. Ok, this is a super cool concept. Putting currents with legends. Learning the moves is cool too. What's the problem? Teaching you 17 new moves and then asking you to try and remember them against the legend. Ok...seriously...No ability to save your progress for training camp. Do it all. Quit and you start all over again. No ability to recall the 17 moves you just learned and forgot. Once you start the one on one, you either pass it or you quit and start from lesson 1. AWFUL!
For as much as I love the NBA and basketball, I am considering selling this back and buying something else. This game sucks. I wish I was a game tester. I could have helped you not frustrate your users.
The only thing I liked about this game was the $40 price tag new. But that was before I played it. If this game was $10, I might change my rating from a 4 to a 5. Maybe....
