Poor game. From the soundtrack to the poorly explained new controls, a major disappointment all around.
Graphics: Inferior to last year. As well, all of the players are too shiny, I realize that it's a sweat effect but everyone looks like they've been dipped in oil.
Sound: The commentary is fine, but AGAIN, the soundtrack is composed solely of the lowest quality, scraping the bottom of the "music" barrel, generic hip-hop tracks which are unlistenable at best. Why can't they just have "blend into the background" instrumental tracks instead of putting the user off with a heaps upon heaps of awful rap music? The fact that basketball has become a "hip-hop game" doesn't mean that every fan and gameplayer wants to be completely inundated with such poor music. The announcer in 24/7 mode is extremely annoying, repetetive and worthless as well.
Value: The game does have a lot of things to do, 24/7 is fun, though it's annoying that it ends rather quickly, I finished it in just a couple of sittings, and that's after getting my player up to a '95' rating. The crib is interesting with a lot of things to unlock and achieve, and the association is a very good 'career' mode. The value is the most this game has going for it.
All in all, this game has flashes of fun, but it's bogged down in what was a completely unnecessary overhauling of the controls. The soundtrack is also even worse than usual and in my opinion, detracts from the presentation as a whole.
