When I first bought Live I was like dannnng! But soon after all the new dunk s in that game got kinnda old, I started to notice all the bad things about it. The graphics stunk and hurted my eyes, there is nothing else to do outside of the normal gameplay, not even anything to unlock like in the previous Lives you just have to use all codes to get stuff. I quickly got bored with Live. So I tried to give 2k6 another shot. At first I hated the shot stick, but now I kinnda like it. I used to hate how 2k6's players moved all stiff and stuff like robots or something, but it is much better this year from the previos 2k's. The crossovers and dunks still to me dont look better than Lives, but they are slowly cathing up to them and when 2k does that will be the day. I would also like to see NBA 2k7 come out with a dunk contest then that would really blow Live off the map. So overall 2k6 is better than Live and it is cheezy. What I mean by cheezy is like when players who are sad go 7/7 from three point land. I couldnt stand that in Live. Another thing that 2k6 has better than Live is the Legends. It has twice the amount of Legends as Live. 2k6's 24/7 mode is another thing to get into that is fun. Oh and I forgot 2k has Create a Team! That is something Live used to have and then they got stupid and took it out. I have no clue why. I missed Create a Team.
So if you are looking for a fun realistic basketball game, get NBA 2k6. It clearly is the best bball game out there. Bottom line this game is raw buisness.
