Fantastic graphics and solid gameplay make NBA Ballers: Rebound the only choice for freestyle PSP gamers, period.

User Rating: 9.3 | NBA Ballers: Rebound PSP
After NBA Street Showdown got less than mediocre, most of us thought that nothing good would come from any of the freestyle-type sports games on the PSP. Then, NBA Ballers: Rebound was announced and we were given hope. After playing this game for 2 hours now, I can say a lot of good things about this game. To start, the graphics are phenomenal. The detail is rich and the crowd is fully animated and vibrant. The player models are clean and sharp, with excellent shading on top. There are a couple basic game modes like the 1 on 1 games to 11 and such, but what really stands out is the "Rags to Riches" mode which is essentially, the "story" mode of the game. You start out as a rookie street baller who is chosen to compete on Television to make it to the NBA . You have to play through tournaments against NBA superstars and other ballers as well. The presentation is excellent, with vibrant cutscenes and an extremely intuitive interface. Gameplay is solid in almost every area, with practically no glitches, whatsoever. Loading times are longer than other games, but still bearable at a mere 15-25 seconds. All in all, NBA Ballers: Rebound is a solid game. It is clearly the choice for any PSP gamer who wants freestyle basketball and is fed up with NBA Street Showdown.
