User Rating: 7.6 | NBA Jam PS2
10 Years later this game has just lost its luster. Give it a rental, and stick the the genesis/snes versions. Even NBA Jam T. E. on psx felt like a reshash. Every Midway game since them has felt like NBA Jam, so thi stime, they just went ahead and name it NBA Jam. Gameplay-Excellent standalone gameplay. New players will find alot to like, but vets will fidn alot of reasons to boot back up the SNES. The computer is filled with rubberband A.I, and will come back from any deficit. The hotspots are comploetely overpowered. And the feel of the classic just isn't there. Graphics-Not horrible, but nothing special Sound-10 years later, "BOOOOM SHAKALAAAAKA" has kind of lost its effect. The announcers are annoyting and repetive, but none more than any other sports games. Value-Its great if you have a friend around, but don't bother playing the cpu. In conclusion, just boot up NBA Jam or NBA Hangtime on SNES. Midway used to make the best arcade basketball sims, but their football, hockey, and baseball games have far more to offer nowdays.
