Nba jam is timeless but the on fire edition is up to date

I'm one of those guys who played this game in the arcade , on the home consoles back in the nineties.

This is still nba jam, but you can play online and you get a lot of extras. The rosters are updated with todays stars and you have some old stars too which you can unlock through playing.

You can unlock also a lot of fantasy teams with mascots from everywhere. And some characters from other games make their appearence for the first time (like isaac from dead space)

A lot of fantasy players and teams are not there (which was in the classic) but the new content makes up for it pretty nicely.

The textures & resolution are updated to todays standards and they've done it pretty well, If you don't know that it's actually a 20+ year old game (god I'm old) you would think they made this game last year.

If you're new to nba jam then I suggest you try it, this game is a class of it's own and probably the only game that's 2 decades old that I don't play out of nostalgia

Allthough I must say the refurbish is done quite well. The graphics look real sharp & crispy but the new soundtrack is amazing as well. I can't really say what the score is like, must be something between tribal, drum & bass & ambient.

At this price (15$) this game is a steal, I would have bought even if it was double the price.
