A great addition to the already great NBA Live series!
The newest feature in this game would be the new classification of players. First of all, there are about 5 of them... High Flyers, Big Guys (?), 3 Point Shooters, Playmakers, Scorers... and there may be more, but I can't remember all of them. This is to say that each of their classification tells what they do best. For example, Playmakers have special passing skills that allow them to dish off the ball to teamates in a better way then a normal player, while 3 Point Shooters can score long range more then normal players. These new "classifications" is due to the fact that, like in real life, even though Basketball is a team sport, the superstars are always who are named (Example: Shaq and/or Dwayne Wade and the Heat take on Kobe Bryant and the Lakers)... that's just how it is, and that's what EA implemented into this game, so only the "superstars" get these classifications.
The rest of the game is very cookie cutter NBA Live... there are 3 point shootouts and a slam dunk competition to change gameplay a bit , but it's pretty much the same Game Modes as former NBA Live.
My ONE annoyance with this game is, like all other sports games, the commentary - after a few games it does become repetitive and you will get annoyed by it... but only slightly; it doesn't effect the gameplay at all, and you can always turn it off.
I would recommend this game to anyone who likes the NBA Live series, or anyone who wants a solid basketball game to play on the PC.
