ok i pop in my install disc thinking this was going to be boring because i don't watch that much basketball but to my surprise it is fantastic! another ea sports game that i can play! i love baseball and football and i watched the nba finals every year. was very pleased to see the spurs win this year. but anyway, back to the game. the manual says you need a game pad to play. but there is a keyboard conversion chart you can use of you don't have a gamepad. this game is very difficult. it requires alot of knowledge of the game, and you need to learn the keys to use to play. passig and offense are pretty simple. once you get that down. you will have an easier time. taking outside shots is simple if you got a guy like parker on your team. but getting the ball inside to your center is tough. the computer plays a mean game of defense!
anyway, you need to learn the keys. the arrow keys move you around and there are different keys for passing and stuff like that. and on defense you have keys for shot blocking, etc..
another great thing about this game in the slam dunk practice! i haven't had this much fun since i played one on one years ago! you can control your player by using a trick key. when you are a certain distance from the basket. and then you use the shot key to finish the dunk! you can even replay it! it's lots of fun. i recommend you try it even if you are a casual basketball fan like me.
