Live 06 is Just OK ... Hoping for the better in 2007

User Rating: 5.7 | NBA Live 06 (EA Best Hits) PSP
I just picked up the PSP version of Live 06. Its everything the critic said it would be and with the new features it feels like a little Streets 3. Having played NBA Live from my SNES and Sega Genesis (and NBA Showdown prior to Live) days THIS version of live moves just like Live 95. While it retains the quirky icescapade motion of 95 it gives you the freedom to move more freely. The characters look comical and look toyish. The feeling on the court gives you the feeling of being at a boxing match since the house lights are almost off. The PSP and Xbox version might have better lighting. On the PSP You are not given the option to make profiles like madden or other versions of Live. All in all having played the game for like an hour I came to two a few conclusions:

1) This is currently the best PSP Bball game.
2) The effort seem lackluster and misguided (2K gaming seem to be building a quality brand)

3) While still fun to play, the flaws creep through.
4) Small bonus of anticipated improvement and change can be expected in the next version or competition in a parse field of chose is a letdown.

5) The fact that EA NBA Live 06 is spot shadowing players and giving the IDEA of individual play as apposed to TEAM play is a testament to a LOSING method.

p.s.

I was playing in superstar mode and getting my butt handed to me when Steve Kerr said, "The------have two options, either they give up and go home and drink a couple of beers or get back into this game." for an E rated game that sure is a M statement.
