Everything on this game is very solid. The music, gameplay, menus, option screens, everything. And because of the failures of impression of "freestyle superstars" I still would recommend this game to any other LIVE game on the market. I really like its season mode, where you pick a team and try to get a championship. But, normally i like dynasty better but in 05's season mode, you can change teams at any point in the season. So if you have a created player and get sick of your team, you can switch teams and complete the season. I love that. another thing too, is the nba all-star weekend, esppecially, the dunk contest. I played that for hours on end, practicing dunks and then performing them in the all-star weekend. Don't get me wrong the other two events are cool too, but the dunk contest steals the show. I also hated the freestyle superstars in 06 and other games because it just let individual players take over the game without any trouble at all. In '05, you play more of a team based game, making crisp passes and long range shots. You can still lock on a player and take over if you know how. And i'm talking the proper shots when and where, not if you know how to play the game or not. That might sound confusing but if you've played the game as long as I have, you know when, where, and how long to hold your shot in order to get the best chance of it going in. If you truly love basketball, then this game is a must-have. Even if you like all sports andnone specifically, you will still have a lot of fun with this game.
This is a basketball game that just doesn't seem realistic enough. The camera of this game also seems to be a little off. The graphics are nicely curved though and the gameplay can be very enjoyable. The sound of the gam... Read Full Review
