NBA Street portable...whats not to love?
Showdown starts by you creating your own baller. You get a certain amount of points to spend on skills, gear (though you can get lots of stuff for free if you want to spend your points more on skills), and other such things. After that, you pick two other people to be on your team, and you begin to work your way up the ladder.
As you defeat opposting teams, you may choose pick up a player from their team, but you can only have a certain amount of players on your team, so choose wisely (although you can just kick someone off your team to make room for someone else).
To beat a court, you must meet the challenge that is set, usually win a certain amount of games, then you will be eligible to challenge for the court, and play against whatever street legend or NBA star holds the court. Once defeated, you can put these players on your team, and once you have your premade character and 2 street legends, the game will become a whole lot simpler.
Along with the above, there are other game choices, such as a regular match between teams, or you can set special conditions such as no game breakers, or no shot clock, ect. This is where you go to play multi player, or to just have a good match with the computer.
This game also sports two very addicitive mini-games. One is where it is like a carnival basketball game where you shoot balls at the hoop, and you have to make a certain amount in each round or you lose...but it isn't that simple, usually the baskets are moving, or else you get less time, or sometimes both. The other game is Shot Block, where you pick a character, and then try to block the shots taken by the other characters that are stationed around the 3-point line.
If you want a sports game, and own a PSP, then this is the game you may want to get, especially if you are into basketball.
