NBA Street V3 is a good follow-up to NBA Street 2. If you liked the second one you'll probably like this one as well.

NBA Street V3 is a good addition to the Street Series. It did a better job of improvement than NFL Street 2 and is better than FIFA Street. I've always thought the NBA translated well into a Street game. Basketball in real life is often played on outside courts with 3 v 3 player type set ups and so forth. You don't see that much with football (not enough space) and soccer (not as popular here). I thought NBA street 2 was actually very good. Of course there is always room for improvement. Many of the things that were done right in NBA Street 2 stayed for V3. The announcer stayed, and I think he fits the game well and I actually liked him. That may be a negative for some though however, but that's really the only thing that I think could be negative that they kept the same. One thing that I really liked is that you can see your combo's. Combo's expire if you don't continue/finish them and on Street 2 you couldn't tell if the time ran out and if you still had the combo. On this version you can see, there are Icon's showing how many moves in a combo you have. They disappear if you wait to long to continue/finish the combo. The music for Street 3 fits the genre and I think is good, and I think if you like the idea of this game you'll probably like the music. I personally liked the music in Street 2 better, but there's more of it in V3 so it's less repetitive. NBA Street V3 for the gamecube allows you play as or against the "Nintendo All-Stars" - Peach, Mario, and Luigi. Obviously it's only for the Gamecube because they are Nintendo and I think it's a cool addition. However, you can ONLY play as those 3 characters. You can't play as Wario, Waluigi, Toad, or any of the other Mario characters which I think is a little weak. You can't play online with the Gamecube version, unlike both the PS2 and XBOX versions, so I think they could at least offer as many Nintendo characters as possible instead of just 3 to make up for it. The graphics in this game are improved, but my opinion they could still be better given the ability of the system. The value is moderate in my opinion because I don't think necessarily that this game is that much better than Street 3 to shell out $50 compared to $15 or whatever Street 2 is. Overall though this is a good game.
