I got this game back in 2003 being a huge fan of the original NBA Street. I have been a big fan of basketball ever since i was just a wee little boy. First of all this game is not typical basketball. It is the same concept of dribble, pass, and shoot or dunk the ball, but that is about all this game has in common with basketball. It is all about the flash of faking out the defender, and the amazing dunks that makes this game great, and a hell of a lot of fun. It has all of the stars of the NBA 2003-2004 season, and a bunch of legends such as Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and 3 different Micheal Jordans. A 85, 96, and current Jordan on the Washington Wizards. This game has a very nostalgic feeling for long time Basketball fans, and great fun for everyone of all ages. I have friends that dont like sports that absolutely love NBA Street vol. 2. There are different modes of gameplay: be a legend, which lets you create a nobody, and take on other players from around the U.S. on the top street courts around the world. Take on the NBA which lets you take your skills, and go head to head with some of the NBA's finest from current times to the greatest legends that ever lived. There is countless hours of fun to be had with this game. It kind of reminds me of AND 1 streetball, but in a video game. I have clocked in probably over 3 hundred hours with this game, and still play it today. There is great fun to be had taking on your friends, and a game that everyone should play. Now you can get it really cheap im sure. I would say it is a must buy for any PS2 owner, and the best of the series IMO.
