Every year EA releases another version of NCAA football and every year EA improves on it's classic college game, and this year is no acception. Everything is bigger, better, faster, smarter. The race for the heisman mode is a great installment to the series and right out of the gate you are thrown into it once you turn your system on. NCAA fans will not be dissapointed. gameplay: 10 you won't find a better NCAA football game out there. A must have for multi-player buffs! Every game has the potential to go down in the history books as "the greatest game every played." so bite down on your mouth piece and buckle your chin strap because NCAA 06 will put you in the game in no time. graphics: 8 not much of an improvement over last years game, but solid graphics none the less. sound: 7 all the bone crunching hits, and fight songs are there but its missing something. The EA soundtrack's for this game flat out are "horrible" in my eyes, and although its nice to be able to turn it off and play fight music, but FIGHT SONGS get old fast!. unlike it's big brother Madden, NCAA lacks custom soundtracks, this feature alone really brings the sound down. You may find yourself just turning off the "music" in the game all together and scrolling through the menu's in silence. This just really takes away from the overall experience. value: 9 this is game is worth buying if you have friends that you can trash talk and play with, and even if you just buy it for a single player experience the game will keep you busy with it's new heisman mode. reviewers tilt: 9 the multi-player alone will bring you back for more, and if you have xbox live then that's just another reason to put your facepaint on and buy this game. OVERALL: 9.0 a great game and great installment to the series, you can't really expect them to improve on a already great game too much, but EA managed to improve on this game just enough to give it a "new" feel. This may be the last college football game you pickup for your aging xbox, and what a way to go!
