College football like it was meant to be played (on the couch)

I like football as muchas the next guy. Well, to be honest, maybe a little less than the next guy. I do have a favorite team (go Longhorns!) and root for a select few other teams, and even occasionally attend a college football party, but never particularly keep track of what's really going on and who the best players are. This game makes me a whole lot more interested in watching it because I have so much fun playing it. You get to start your player as a freshman in the college of your choice and have to go through the training camp, in which you are put through a series of greuling excercises, and you may even be given a schloarship if you are good enough. When the season starts, the "Race for the Heisman" is on and you have to own all the other teams and be the M.V.P of the year to get the trophy. And finally you can get recruited to the NFL, where the big boys play. Sounds just like the real thing, right? Exactly. That's the point.
This game is so dead on to real life, it's kinda scary. The graphics are the best yet and gameplay is the smoothest I've ever seen. Seeing the option coming, setting your OLB into motion, and crushing the qauterback under 220 lbs. of bone crushing mass never seemed so painful. Every time I kickoff and send my safety running full sprint into the reciever, I really feel kinda bad about almost taking his head off. You feel like you have total control, whether it be during passing, running, or defending. Great! Now you don't have to hear your buddy complain that "the game made him lateral the ball so you'd get the fumble recover" or that "his team doesn't like him so they keep screweing up on purpose". I mean let's be real people, if you'd just stop making them run the Hail Mary every play for four quarters, they might be a little more cooperative with you.
Bottom line, if you like football at all, try this game. It's as good as they get, for now.
