Having played NFSU and NFSU2 (but not NFSMW) I found this game to be fun but had a few minor gripes. Overall it really is a fun game and certainly can't be called boring; each of the NFS titles so far has brought something new to the series, some better than others.

THINGS THAT BUGGED ME
- The wingmen are frustrating at times, botching up your racing line
- The menu system was 'weird' ; tuning the car was really vague
- When entering a new part of town the city's name appears on screen but obscures the driving view (somehow i never noticed that in nfsu2)
- NO REPLAY! They could have kept replay since I tricked out my ride and there's no online mode to show it off even

THINGS I WOULD HAVE LIKED
- With all the cool city environments to race thru, it would've been super sweet if they kept the 'wet road' look and blur effect of nfsu
- The computer cars don't make mistakes as they did in NFSU
