Although this game is quite short, it is still one of the best games in the series, probably the best after Most Wanted.

User Rating: 8.3 | Need for Speed Carbon PS2
We have gotten used to Need for Speed games to get better with every game, but Need for Speed: Carbon doesn't live up to this pattern, although it is still one of the best games in the series. Most Wanted was a better game than Carbon in many ways, like pursuits, milestones, and the overall gameplay. Both stories are great, although I'd say that Carbon's story has more meaning to it. All in all, both games are great, but Most Wanted is better. The gameplay of Carbon is great, although it is too easy and short. There are no longer milestones that you have to get in order to fight the bosses, which takes out the point of pursuits, plus this makes the game much easier. One of the most enjoyable things in Most Wanted was the pursuits, and now there's no point of adding them. The racing was pretty good, with cool drifting and canyon duels. The customizing of the cars is one of the best points of this game and is much better than the customizing in Most Wanted. The Autosculpt is a really unbelievable way to customize your car exactly how you want it.
The game's graphics are unbelievable. They look more realistic than ever.
The music in this game was pretty good, and the FMV sequences were awesome, but some bad acting in these clips cost the game some points. The value of this game isn't bad, you might want to play the pursuit two more times after you finish the first one. The reason you will play the career three times is because everytime the story changes very slightly. For example,I started out with an exotic car at the beginning of the game, and the second time I played the career I started with a tuner, and the third time with a muscle car, and every time the game is kind of different. (The changes are hardly noticealbe but they're still there.) There is also the Challenge Series in the game which is great, each challenge comes with increasing difficulty, and in the end they become really hard. After you play the career mode a couple of times, you're probably going to stop playing this game because there is no online play.
The tilt to this game is obviously very good, since it has a minblowing story with FMV sequences.
Overall, this game is really good and is definitely worth checking out, and other than Most Wanted, this is the best and most enjoyable game in the series so far.
