Carbon builds on a combination of NFSU2 and most wanted, keeping esential ingredients, such as drifting from NFSU2 and pursuits from NFSMW.
The story follows a great path (if a comedic one!) and the game plays well. The new teritory systems and canyons are superb inovations that have changed the series for the better. It will take upto 15 hours for the career mode and another 15 to perfect the other modes and the chanllenge series!
However there are a few problems, including canyon duel phsyics, they just don't feel up to scratch and the rotation of the camera when you vere on the edge does'nt help at all. The other main problem is that drifting can be tedious, even massive scores (eg 100,000 points) can be beaten effortlessly by the invisable AI racers.
This aside, Carbon is a solid racing game, possibly the best on the PS2...

Lets just wait for the PS3 version....
