NFS: Carbon vs. Burnout Legends vs. Burnout Dominator
With Legends, it was the crash mode and just having a very good Burnout on the psp. With Dominator, it was chaining 'Supercharged' burnouts (something you couldn't do in Legends). Very addictive and really nice 'hook', gameplay element.
With Carbon, the hook is the crews (Assassin- lays down spike strips, Brawler- temporarily disables rival cars, Drafter- for drafting). With the crews, this add a different layer of strategy to the games. NFS: Carbon is very similar to Midnight club 3 for the psp but the load times are so much shorter (10-15secs for carbon vs 60-70 sec's for MC3). Actually, a better description would be to say that NFS: Carbon is like a cross between MC3 and NFS: Underground 2 (not Underground 1b/c Underground 1 was too limited in scope). Actually Carbon is better than NFS: Underground2 b/c Carbon give you the ***choice***, either you can drive up to the race on the free roaming map or you can hit the start button and select or 'start up' the race via the start menu.
